I am new to knitting after 25 year gap and then it was baby stuff. Started my first project - Baroque pattern - and this refers to "reverse stocking stitch". I am taking this to mean that the right side of the garment is actually the purl side.  Can any of you experts out there confirm that I am doing it correctly?

Hello, yes you are thinking along the right lines, the right side is the purl side.

Hi, at learntoknit.co.uk I found this explanation.  I think you're doing it correctly.

Reverse stitch
Reverse stocking stitch is made up of one row of purl stitches followed by one row of knit stitches, starting with a purl row, which is the right side of the work.
